King's Palace Museum, Nyanza in pictures.
In Nyanza, the King's Palace Museum recreates the seat of the Rwandan monarchy, centered on a towering beehive-shaped thatched royal residence built in traditional style. The grounds are home to the revered Inyambo, the king's long-horned cattle, which are still groomed and sung to as they were in royal times. Together with the nearby modern royal palace, the site tells the story of Rwanda's monarchy and living cultural traditions.
