In western Madagascar, the Tsingy de Bemaraha is a labyrinth of jagged grey limestone spires sculpted by millennia of rain into needle-sharp pinnacles. Suspension bridges and via ferrata routes thread through the formations, which shelter lemurs, rare birds and endemic reptiles in their shaded canyons. Its otherworldly terrain has earned it UNESCO World Heritage status.
