Lake Nakuru National Park in pictures.
Lake Nakuru is a soda lake in the Great Rift Valley, historically famous for the immense flocks of lesser flamingos that once turned its shoreline pink. Today the surrounding park is a fenced sanctuary protecting both black and white rhino, as well as Rothschild's giraffe, lions and tree-climbing pythons. Wooded escarpments and waterfall viewpoints add to its compact, scenic appeal.
