Arch 22 and Banjul in pictures.
Rising 35 metres over the entrance to Banjul, Arch 22 is the capital's most prominent landmark, housing a viewing gallery and textile museum with sweeping views across the city and river mouth. Below it, compact Banjul offers bustling markets, the Albert Market, and faded colonial buildings on its Atlantic-facing peninsula. It is the natural starting point for exploring the Smiling Coast.
