Pico do Fogo

Pico do Fogo is the dramatic centerpiece of Fogo Island, an active stratovolcano that rises 2,829 meters above sea level. The volcano sits within a massive 9-kilometer-wide caldera known as Chã das Caldeiras, a surreal, moon-like landscape of black lava flows and volcanic ash.
